Thank you for your letter of March 1, 2004 acknowledging that your
office has received my written complaint sent to you by FAX on
February 27, 2004.
I understand from your letter that the processing of this complaint
will take time.
I wish to add the following information to the complaint I submitted.
The three separate Form 496 Late Independent Expenditure Reports
that alerted the Davis City Clerk's Office of the potential
violation did not include a telephone number and incorrectly spelled
the name of the individual who filed it. Instead of "Guidero"
members of the community have come to understand that these reports
and the activities to which they refer are in fact the efforts of
Steve "Gidaro". The combination of the absence of a telephone
number and the incorrect spelling of the last name rendered it
difficult for anyone interested to contact the reporter or to
research his identity and publicly known interests. This appears to
be in violation of the intent of campaign spending disclosure.
Please add this supplemental information to the material already
provided to your office in regard to this matter.
